-

Enhanced self-awareness: Through reflection and introspection, coaching helps you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your strengths, and areas for growth.
Improved decision making: Coaching provides tools and techniques to help you make more informed and empowered decisions aligned with your values and aspirations.
Increased confidence and resilience: Working with a coach boosts your confidence and resilience, enabling you to overcome challenges and setbacks with greater ease.
-
Personalized approach: A coach tailors their approach to your unique needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring a customized experience.
Active listening and empathy: Your coach listens attentively, empathizes with your experiences, and provides a supportive environment for exploration and growth.
Accountability and support: Your coach holds you accountable for your commitments and provides ongoing support, encouragement, and feedback.
-
Does not give advice: A coach doesn’t tell you what actions to take or decisions to make.
Does not offer suggestions: While a coach may offer insights or perspectives, they don’t impose their own ideas or solutions onto you.
Does not counsel: Coaches don’t provide psychological counseling or diagnosis for mental health conditions.
Does not tell you what to do: A coach doesn’t dictate your choices or outcomes; instead, they empower you to explore possibilities and make your own decisions.

“Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don’t.”
— Steve Maraboli

Do I Need a Therapyst or a Life Coach?
Therapy -
It is used to remediate a health problem. Therapists diagnose and treat disease or disorders. They will help you along a treatment plan until you feel not sick anymore. That doesn’t mean you are then thriving, it just means, you are not sick, or how I like to call it, you are in Neutro or just Status Quo.
- Coaching
It is used to reach a higher level of achievement. Coaches help you take you from where you are in the not sick spectrum, to where you want to be. To feel truly fit, thirving, prospering. When things get in our way, a coach helps you to see the obstacle and give you the tools to get it out of the way so you can move forward.
—overlap in the middle—
Having issues like stress, mild forms of depressions or anxiety, relationship conflicts, questions about life purpose doesn’t mean we are sick, it just mean we are humans. Both a therapist and a life coach can help you. We might apply same principals, however, it is just not the same, because the areas we focus. Coaches stays in the here-now and move to the future, vs Therapist tap more into the past. That is why some Therapist choose to complete their studies and become life coaches as well.
A lot of people see both, a coach and a therapist, as we might be healthy (not sick) and ready to thrive in the profesional life, AND, we are still wounded in the social department of our personal life.
There is a place for both, as there is a place for a doctor and a physical therapist. A doctor can diagnose and treat a broken leg (you wouldn’t go to a physical therapist for a broken leg, right?). However, you might go to the physical therapist when your leg starts to heal and your doctor clears you. The bone is heal, and the physical therapist help you get the muscle stronger. You decide whats your goal, the physical therapist support you along the way.
